9rules: One Year Anniversary

Today is the one-year anniverary of the first site added to 9rules. I wasn’t a member of 9rules then, definitely wasn’t the Community Director but I remember the first site added and I’m pleased to say the site is still in the network. Who was it?

Looking back at the first sites added it’s obvious how much design played an important part in getting accepted. Design is important but it’s not the only thing. Consistency in writing and audience participation are important as well. Design is only one part of what makes a great blog. It shows how 9rules has evolved over time, and I like that. Ok, I love that. I love looking back and seeing improvements. Yes, there have been mistakes along the way but they’ve been learning experiences.

I’m fortunate to be involved in the next evolutionary stage. Just thinking about it makes me smile because I love the fact we’re leading the way with new concepts…not following current trends without adding something new.  9rules started out different from day one. We intend to keep it that way.
